I have set up a recodset paging links Next, Previous, Last & First. All works
very well, but the problem is - if you are on the last page then the links -
next and last are still there. Also if you on the first page then the previous
and first still appear. This obviously looks a bit bad - what is the best way
to limit these links?

Any suggestions very welcome.

Cheers

Use the Show Region behaviors to show PREVIOUS if recordset is not empty and
the same with last so when it is actully the first record and there is
nothing before that (therefore the recordset is empty, it won't show.
With first and last, there are specific SHOW REGION behaviors in the Server
behaviors panel menu to cover those cases.

The 'show region' behaviors have 'if last record', 'if first record', and
the corresponding 'not' versions of each.
