| Hi,
Is it possible to have a login page on a website and ensure that only a
certain pc / office can login using a certain username and password?
Thanks for the advice

| Perhaps you want integrated Windows authentication. You'd then have to
couple that with an IP test, but I don't see why the appropriate user must
log in from a certain PC.

| Trust me - its a requirement!
I dont think the IP test would work as some ISPs allocate IP addresses
dynamically when you connect to the internet...

| have your site look for a cookie that you email the users who need to access
the site.
jon
log all ip's. you may be able to limit it to an ip range, which would only
allow users from a certain ISP to connect, but that can be spoofed and
therefore is faulty. a cookie might be your best option b/c while it is
relatively insecure itself, the [lack of] knowledge that it must be there
may be enough to keep you secure. couple a cookie with a username and
password for additional security, ie
username:
password:
and cookie
even if they enter correct u/p, but don't have cookie, it still dumps them
and says invalid password.
