Ok, here's the page:

It looks just the way I'd like, in Firefox, but IE, the breadcrumb area
disappears.....

I'm a little confused about that one.......

Firefox supports the ALT attribute just fine. It supports it in the way
that it's *supposed* to. It displays the alt text if the picture is not
displayed. Internet Explorer, on the other hand, supports it incorrectly
by showing it as a tooltip.
