Author DW8 question

When you use the Character palette to insert a special character (like
em-dash, open quote etc.), once the character has been added, is it
highlighted or is the insertion cursor right after the added character?

Cursor is positioned after the inserted character, thanks to your suggestion
some while ago.... 8)

One by one the legacy bugs fall. I may just have to set up a quarantine
boot partition and download the trial

I'd fully concur, and not as a corporate shill - or even an MM employee, but
another guy who uses DW daily. DW8 is definitely worth at least a first-hand
runthrough- even if you do it on someone else's machine to make the call.

I know you have serious reservations with the activation (which has been
relaxed in v8 to a certain degree), but seriously, David- this ain't DW MX 2004
by a long shot. I switched to v8 during early alpha and never looked back, on
both work and home machines. Your mileage may vary, of course- but I'd be very
interested in your historically-informed opinion on the v8 improvements.

I do know that alot of time was devoted to legacy bugs on this release
cycle....

You need OS 10.3 minimum, though.

No, you need OS 10.3 to run Studio 8 products. Tech tool will partition
your hd, but I would do a clean install of OS if I wanted a partition.

That's what I was thinking. I just want a minimal boot partition. What I
can't figure out is what size it should be to contain the OS (and room
for updates etc.)
