Anyone hear when Studio 8 pre-orders are shipping? Amazon is showing shipping time of a week.

I did not receive an email notification (although my initial order said I
would), but when I logged in I discovered that my pre-order shipped
yesterday.

And I just got the email notification now. Rather odd, since it shipped
yesterday, but oh well. Supposed to arrive tomorrow.

Same here. I got UPS tracking code said delivery date sept 19th. I have
been playing around with the trial versions going through tutorials until it
arrives.

My understanding is if you are a free upgrade qualifier you wont get your
until mid to late october. I mised the qualifyer by one month or else I would
be waiting as well.

So did mine, just before I wrote the earlier email. I signed in, saw
pending, followed a link and came back, and it showed shipped. You're on the
cusp, mate!

I received an email last night telling me to expect it tomorrow,
although it's moving in the wrong direction:

Sep 14, 2005
1:55 PM Departed FedEx location MEMPHIS, TN
1:10 PM Arrived at FedEx location MEMPHIS, TN
9:17 AM In transit MEMPHIS, TN

Sep 13, 2005
10:49 PM At local FedEx facility SALT LAKE
CITY, UT
6:42 PM Left origin OREM, UT
2:31 PM Picked up OREM, UT

Why it should go from Utah to Tennessee to get to Alberta is beyond
me.

Well, I've been charged GST on both the product and the shipping so
they know that Canada EXISTS, anyway! And I have to track the package
via the FedEx International site.

Maybe it's the swirling winds from that storm off the Atlantic
seaboard that's confusing them. Like migrating birds that get blown
off course.

No. Not from Salt Lake City, Utah to Alberta, Canada. It is doubtless a
major hub for the U.S. Southeast, but her package should not have gone
there, pure and simple.

I dunno. It did, and it's here. Or at teh FedEx depot here, anyway
-- I wasn't home when they tried to deliver, and I won't be home
tomorrow either so I'll have to pick it up.

Damn these client meetings! Don't they know I have a new version of
DW to pick up and play with?!?

Oh, cool. It definitely didn't go to Tennessee, then!

The way I understand it, EVERYTHING that ships FEDEX goes to Memphis
first and is sorted there. Find it hard to believe for, say, shipping a
pkg from Sacramento San Francisco, though...

No way. If Win's did, there is no way it would have been in Alberta the next
day (as it was). If was a mistake in tracking info.

Truth is, mine didn't go thru Tenn either, but I think it actually arrived
UPS, not FedEx.
