Does anyone know? I know it does this when the product is activated, but
does the trial do this?

IIRC the trial is exactly the same as the shipping version of DW 8, James - only difference being the absence of a serial number - so yes, it does.

N/P, James. I suspect it wasn't the answer you were hoping for, but should you
want to read more info you can always check the Activation Center to read thru
differences with the v8 release here:
