Everytime I try to expand the files panel or edit some code. BOOM! I think there may be a few bugs to work out. Has anyone else had this problem?

Here are my observations and assumptions in chronological order, as I've
experienced this same problem:

DW hung on expansion of files panel using a dual 1ghz G4 PMac with 10.3.9. I
force quit after ball spun for a while. I restarted the mac and then ran repair
permissions, then tried to open DW. At first it lagged almost 60 seconds when I
tried to expand it, but then it eventually worked.

But now I have a different problem (potentially related to file list?),
because I quit DW, then relaunched it and now I get a huge (3+ minute long) lag
before the app finishes loading! And while it's doing this it's hammering my
CPU according to iPulse.

After the above happend, I realized that the site I was viewing in my files
list had about 1,300 files and a lot of library items, templates, and graphics.
So I tried a test where I opened a very small 35 file site, then quit DW, then
restarted it and it came right up.

After the quick startup, I tried switching back to that large site and again,
and again got a huge time lag. So, after the files finally appeared and DW
became responsive again, I rebuilt the site cache for this large site, then
quit, and restarted DW. I watched the splash screen and as soon as it started
to load 'Assets' that's when it hit the slowdown.

This is leading me to a suspiscion that DW is lagging on start up (and / or on
interactions with) because the site has a lot of assets. I think that the app
originally lagged or crashed when dealing with the files menu expansion, not
because of files, but because when files moves out of that panel group, assets
is the next panel that needs to display and this is the panel causing the
issue. This was NOT A PROBLEM for this exact same large site in the previous MX
2004 version of DW!

Please advise...

Looks like this is a pretty big problem as I see many posts about the same thing. I am running the most recent version of Tiger.
