How to get upgrade?
|
|
| Michael Evangelista 2005-09-13, 7:26 pm |
| I ordered Studio MX2004 a few weeks back, and was told to watch for the
release of Studio 8 so I can dl and install my 'free' upgrade. But I don't
remember how I was supposed to go about that...
Seems like there was some mention of a new code via email... but I can't
remember for sure. Anybody here know where I should go, or what account info
will be needed?
I am still on hold with MM, bet I will get an answer here before my turn in
the telephone cue...

| You need to go to this page:
http://www.macromedia.com/cfusion/k...cfm?id=tn_15313
Currently it looks like you will have to wait until mid October until the
free upgrade is available.

| The upgrade will not be available until mid-October. You can get information
about it here:
http://www.macromedia.com/cfusion/k...fm?id=tn_15313, or
search in the Macromedia site for "free upgrade" and choose the service note
about upgrades for boxed products.

Not yet.
Was hoping to do it in one fell swoop - but I could just get the trial
versions and then put in the reg. info Mid-October, right?
My only concern would be the processing time - seems if I did the 30-day
trial now, I could still end up DW-less for a few weeks.

It is a gamble. Personally, I'd take it. 8)

Be sure to book mark this page and check back often. I guess the normal
turn around time on a free upgrade is a couple weeks after first
shipment of normal packaging. You will be able to download
<http://www.macromedia.com/cfusion/k...3&mode=thankyou>
I
bought DWMX2004 a couple weeks ago, so I'm eager to get my hands on 8 too.
Be sure to check the info for your particular product. For example, for me:
English
Purchased between July 8 and November 14, 2005
Requests for free upgrades to Dreamweaver 8 English must be received
by December 14, 2005.
Good luck!
