I am having problems connecting to a server. I am using Dreamweaver and have
created a site, and have entered my login & Password correctly from my hosting
company. But I can't. Says unable to connect to server. Any advice?

Tell me what you have entered in the FTP Host and the Host Directory field
of your Remote site definition.

ftp.dashaulogos.com---Host
host directory--www.dashaulogos.com

I tried again and typed ftp.dashaulogos.com for host directory

Leave host directory blank. Can you connect? If so, what folders do you
see in the remote side of the files manager?

Good morning,
I was reading this thread and didn't see a conclusion. I am actually having
the exact same problem.
I was actually able to connect at one point. i then deleted the site from the
site manager list because i wanted to define my site and start from scratch.
when i went back to connect to it via FTP through Dreamweaver, i haven't been
able to connect. getting exactly the same message as Lingobeginner. I checked
connectivity and I connected via CyberDuck (Mac OS user)
With the information given can someone help?

Regards,
Omss

The questions are always the same -

What have you put into each of the FTP Host field and the Host directory
field in your Remote site definition? Have you enabled passive FTP? Are
you connecting through a firewall?
