Help with loss of syntax coloring

I am having a strange issue with DreamweaverMX 2004. While I await the purchase
approval for Studio 8, I am forced to live with an annoying oddity that I have
discovered: when I open a fairly large PHP file (about 2500 lines not too big),
I lose the coloring about line 1926. This happens with other files occasionaly,
but not always. The particular file I am working on now is about 96K in total,
and yet another file is about 102K, and that happens less frequently in that
file.

Has any one else encountered this, and what did/can they do about it? Trying
to troubleshoot the last thrid of the page when it's all highlighted in red is
kind of annoying. The file opens and color-codes fine when viewed with
Notepad++, but I prefer to do my hand-coding in Dreamweaver.

I am using 7.01 on WindowsXP Pro SP2, 1G Ram, 1.6GHz Pentium Mobile.
