Author How to purge the template properties dialoge box

I had created to template properties that you could set in the template
properties dialoge box. Eventhough I got rid of the regions containing the
properties, the properties are still listed in the dialoge. Is there any way to
purge them out?

Delete the definitions of these parameters from the template page's markup,
e.g.,

<!-- TemplateParam name="deleteMe" type="text" value="No Longer Needed" -->
