Yep. You can definitely do that. You can define one image to be the
:link state background and the other to be the :hover state background
and dump the JavaScript rollovers as well. Or even better yet, combine
the normal and hovered images into a single image and use the :hover to
adjust the background position which would reveal the appropriate
portion of the image.
