linking with templates

| I am completely new to Dreamweaver. I am creating a large website using
templates. I have set up my navigation bars using flash text. The
document-relative links work EXCEPT when I am trying to link to a document that
is in the same folder, but just on a higher folder heirarchy.
Example:
Folder 1
file A
Folder 2
file B
Folder 3
file C
Folder 4
file D
Folder 5
file E
The links work when I move from 'file B' to 'file D', for example, but they do
not work when I try to move from 'file E' to 'file D' or from 'file B' to 'file
A'.
Any ideas? I thought using site-relative links would help the problem, but
apparently site relative links can not be applied to flash text. PLEASE HELP!!!
I hope it makes sense.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Lindsay

How large? Anything over 100 is a mistake with Templates UNLESS you have
mostly used the templates to hold a series of include files.

In my opinion, this is a huge mistake. Not only will templates not be kind
to you, but people who don't have Flash won't be able to navigate your site
at all.
Can we talk you out of this decision?

| I discussed it with someone in my office and he already talked me out of using flash text as a navigation bar. I figured it out.
Thanks though!
