| I have a website that I have been working on and I have not defined the site
yet. There is an existing site already there. How do I go about replacing
that site with my new site? Thanks for the help!

| If your new site is ready, just define your site according to the FTP info
and put all the old files into a folder called oldsite or whatever helps you
remember (you may need to refer to these files .. esp. at first) and then
FTP your site into the main folder from your local definition to the remote
site.

| Tricky question. Primarily, you just need the correct FTP details for your
hosting.
I'm guessing your connecting to the site through FTP.
You need to first set up the site, I wouldn't edit files directly on the
server, so best setting up a folder locally......
Once done, choose Site / Edit Site from the top menu. Select the site you've
just created and choose Edit.
Flip in onto the "Advanced" tab, across the top, and then choose the "Remote
Info" settings on the left.
Choose the access method, I'm guessing FTP.
The details you now need to fill in are:
FTP Host, usually FTP://domain.etc
Login, provided by the webhosts
Password, provided by the webhosts (click save to really "plumb" it in)
That should do you. You might need to set the host directory (where the root
is) depending on your webhosts. Check passive if you're still having problems.

Not in my experience. The FTP Host field is usually this -
www.domain.com
> You might need to set the host directory (where the root

Again, in my experience, you will always need something here. The host will
tell you what the account's root folder is, usually. In the event that they
don't, leave it blank, connect, and post back here with what you see in the
Remote file list when you do that. Someone will help you....
