Background with changing size depending upon screen size
|
|
|
| Hi there,
can you have a look on this page: (Still under development)
http://squawk.delettershop.nl
I want to add a blackground on the left of the page up until the right of the
logo. The problem is, since the content is centered, this boundary will move
when the user resizes his/her window. What do I do to make this work?
Thanks already,
dl33

| Can you just restate your question? From reading the original one, I am not
quite sure what you are asking.

| Why can't you just add the black color to the background image?
(img/Logo%20Box.gif) (bad idea using spaces in filenames)
Also make the div#menucontent have a black background color.
Or did I not understand your question?

| Make a black background image for each of those two containers. You can
add the rounded corners and any other styling you want to this image....

| Make an image that is part black and that is as wide as the widest space you
might imagine to the left of your content area. Make it say 10px tall and
however wide you determine above. Make it the page background and use CSS
to make it tile only vertically.
That should do the trick.

| Make a guess. Use your judgement of your site's prospective visitors, and
their computers.
