is it possible to introduce new files to dreamweaver local root folder without having to quit dreamweaver and reopen it

Open the Site Panel to full size. Look at the bottom where you'll see an
icon showing your local computer. Click on it, find the files, then drag
them into the local site folder in the top part of the Site Panel. It will
automatically copy them into the folder.
