Dreamweaver - Table Alignment

I created this in Fireworks, then exported to Dreamweaver. I created a sliced
area below the photograph, then inserted a table into the sliced area. There
are three rows and the text reads, "Never mind about the text in this box; it's
just for show. "

Problem is, I can't get the table in the sliced area to vertically top-align.
Whenever there's too much text in the adjacent slice, the table gets bumped
lower. I tried top-aligning the row where the tables are, but it isn't working.
Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Or what I can do to make it right?

Well,
I pulled your page into Dreamweaver and noticed that you have alot of tables
within tables. I played with the tables and cells a bit, removed tables and
put text into cells. I can post the code of what I did but it will be
long..... You might have to mess with the links to the images because I
saved it from the web to my desk top.....Here it goes:

Thank you for taking the time to review the code, but this wasn't a real
solution. It appears you solved the problem by setting the table cell heights
to fill in the area, but the table is still bottom-aligned.

What I'm looking for is an understanding of why this is happening so I can
deal with it in the future. If I'm telling the row to be top-aligned, why is it
aligning to the bottom?
