Took me some messing around but fixed my last problem. Other problems bound to
arise that won't be so readily fixed. The question is, within the one thread,
is it appropriate to deal with two or three issues over a few days relating to
the same website, or is it more appropriate to start a new thread for each
issue?

If you want responses for all, it is best to separate them.

It's best to start a new thread so that you can have a descriptive subject
line in each.

You are likely to get more help by starting each problem with a new
thread. With the volume of messages in this news group, I'm sure some
people skip threads about topics that don't interest them. So they may
never see anything about the other problem(s) you are having.

It's also very effective to use message headers that are as descriptive
as possible. This will draw the attention of anyone with expertise in
that area.

Bad:

Help!!!
Please Help Me!!
URGENT: need help
Silver fishes trouble my dreams

Good:

Text box too wide in IE/Windows only
CSS fails with text in table
Images show in DW, not in browser
Netscape 4: can I just ignore it?

You may also find that no one responds to your message. This could be
because no one knows the answer (rare) or because the question is asked
and answered so often that no one has the strength to respond to the
same problem for the third time that day. A search of this news group's
archives will almost always turn up an answer:
http://groups-beta.google.com/group...dia.dreamweaver

Before asking a question you should run your page through a validator:
http://validator.w3.org/
This will tell you if there are errors in your code. Sometimes a problem
someone asks about in this news group could have been solved if the
poster had validated the code first.

Be in the right news group. Flash and Fireworks have their own news
groups, so you won't get much response here if your question is about
that software.
