| I recenty had to uninstall Dreamweaver, so this morning I reinstalled it. For
some reason, there is no .exe file. I know there is probably an easy answer to
this, but in the DreamweaverMX2004 folder there is no dreamweaver.exe. I did a
search of my hard drive and it didn't find one. This was a clean install.
Could someone help!!!??

I'm guessing it wasn't a clean install. :O)
Have you tried re-installing again? Did you reboot after you uninstalled?
Did you have NAV or any AV programs running?

Maybe its just me who is confused, but if you uninstalled DW, why do you
expect an .exe file to be now in the DW folder? You must either re-install
it from the CD, or go find your purchased download and re-install it from
there.

I purchased, downloaded and installed Studio MX a couple of years ago, and
everything worked fine, that was under Windows 2000 Professional. But then one
day my Windows installation was corrupted by bad printer drivers (oh Brother!)
and I decided instead to install Windows XP Professional, which I did, but into
a different partition. So I had to reinstall all my software too. I have today
tried to reinstall the Studio MX software, including Dreamweaver 6.1, but it
only gets as far as the splash screen and no further when I try to run it. I
read on the site to try the Dreamweaver 6.1 Updater, which I downloaded and
installed, but that did not help.
The other programs in Studio MX all work fine, it is only Dreamweaver that
crashes.
Also note that my Windows XP Professional has SP1a installed, not SP2.
