Hello...

I am trying to get a MAC Dreamweaver connected to my Windows Visual
SourceSafe database. I downloaded the PC version of Dreamweaver and
saw the option to connect to Visual SourceSafe but don't see that in
the MAC version.

Help?
Thanks

I've been using VSS with DW 2004 for months without realising that you can
link the two! Where is the option on the PC version?

(Sorry I can't help with your question!)

When you start a new project, you can specify VSS as the source

I've just spent an hour setting this up on my development machine.

I have a SourceSafe database containing a VSS project for each website.
I've given each website a "Shadow Folder" which is a folder under
C:\inetpub\wwwroot, so that whenever a file is checked in it is
automatically published to the machine's webserver (IIS). I've configured
the "Site" in DW to use the VSS database as the "Remote" location, and now I
can check out and in from DW itself. I've chosen not to upload on save, or
check out when opening (DW offers that as an option anyway) but to do this
explicitly. All very neat. Note that this is the development machine - I
do further testing using the locally published version and then open VSS
client to set a label before publishing to the public server.
