| I tried posting the following question on the flash site forums in retro spect
I'm thinking that maybe it is a Dreamweaver bug and not a Flash bug..
I tried to discribe the situation as detailed as possible but so far the only
responses I have gotten suggest things that I covered in my question as already
trying .. so anyway I appriciate any help.... thanks in advance:
[color=darkred]
duplicated.. but I've tried time and time again and I can't seem to fix it.
I have menu choices that I have made into buttons the normal flash way. But
the default way only has the "letters" themselves active so that when the mouse
is inbetween the letters the "hot spot" is not active making a very fluttering,
'fluctuating' button
So again, the "normal" way I think is to add an invisable rectangle under the
"hit" frame. So okay I did that, and all seems fine when I did this in flash.
The preview is fine, I then I update it to dreamweaver, the preview in
dreamweaver is fine.. I save it and then upload it to my server, and I know it
was a sucessful update because the other changes I made are apparent and
working BUT the buttons are the same..... the text letters only are active with
no hot box???
I don't know if anyone's run into this before, but I would appriciate any
suggestions....
Thanks in advance,

You you just making the type a button. I mean you don't have a box,
oval, square ... as a button with type over it. If your just making
type a button. Make a hidden let's say a box. Convert that to a button.
Then in the button properies. Put the type all the states.

| Are you sure that the prior versions of the flash buttons aren't stuck in
the browser's cache?
reload/refresh the page a couple times
empty the temp internet files
load each flash.swf file by itself in the browser if needed.
