Looks good to me. Nice, clean design. It is a joy to see clean,
straightfoward HTML.

Clean and lean :-) Colors work well.
Not sure if you need to know this now, but I think the three images in the
sidebar are a little 'too' optimised...

It makes me happy.

No, seriously, it looks good. Not really anything I haven't seen before. Am
I missing something?

Also, what's the free internet offer?

Beats me. I just build the sites? 8)

No - you're not missing anything. I was really just wondering if the
mouseover color on the menu seemed glaringly wrong.

I also wanted to see who picked up on the drop shadow on the text at the top
of the masthead....

all, *very* nice looking site. (though try and talk them out of the swoosh

Are you going to be building the lending stuff on the site? That is, are
they going to allow users to apply for loans online? The company I work for
does this, and it's a huge project, requiring a large team of developers.

I'm not going to be creating any of that stuff - at least not at this point.
This job is a migration job primarily - moving from one layout to
another....

The have existing back-end stuff that the current site uses.

Hi Murray,

Looks nice and clean to me.

A suggestion... the 3 imgs you have (free Inet offers) would look so
good with a rollover effect! Maybe a transparent overlay in the same
color as your roll over in the DD menu. Would also bring in a little
life into the site as it looks *really* clean.

Hope it makes sense

Something about the placement of the "swoosh" bothers me. thewhite space
above it combined with the thin borders coming down from "Free Internet
Offer", makes it look like it isn't sized or placed quite properly.

Other than that I think the design and colors are quite nice and
"refreshing". I think I'll just go take a walk in the woods! Oops, boss
coming ...

Baby says she's mine you know
She tells me all the time you know

Sorry, got distracted there for a minute....

The navigation looks fine to me, although whenever I see a menu system
where there is only one submenu I wonder of that was the right choice.

Anyway, I think your body text needs something to distinguish it. At the
moment it's just one long paragraph in very small type and I didn't
really notice it until I had been looking at the page for a while. I'd
suggest trying an initial cap, larger text size, increasing the line
spacing, breaking it into smaller paragraphs--something to make it
visually on a par with the rest of the page elephants. I mean elelments.

any chance of picking up more of that burnt red? perhaps in the far right
corner? even a line i think would help re-inforce the name a bit. give it
a little more 'ownership' to the page.

Page looks great!

Clean and well structured... nice images too.

Running a 19" 1024x768 monitor, I find the dropshadowed masthead text a bit
too intricate... maybe for a larger font. (though I wouldn't make this text
larger)

I like sub menu consistency... all main menus should have sub menus (all or
nothing) ...it's *slightly* confusing when some menu items have a rollover and
others don't... I'd reiterate the menu item in a sub menu for those main menu
items that don't have multiple sub menus. (ie Contact - Contact)

Just my two cents though.

Hmm - thanks. So you'd have a submenu for every main menu choice, even when
it just repeats the main menu choice? I don't think I have ever seen that
done

Yeah - I'm thinking of canning it and going back to having it embedded in
the masthead.

If you're in doubt about that, why not just make it match the green of the
arrow image?

I thought about it, but worried it would be too similar. I'll give it a
try.

parents' age, in the mid-80's, I'd have such wonderful lyrical geniuses as
Madonna to listen to.

James,
Quick question: How was it a huge project? I created a system like this in
CF that allowed the form information to be directly imported into Point for
my client. Maybe yours was more automated?
