Structure site to use breadcrumbs

| Hello all,
I fear that the solution to this problem is so obvious as to be laughable, but
I must ask it anyway.
I would like to use breadcrumbs on my webpage, but can't figure out how to
organize the folders to best do so. I would like the breadcrumbs to read
"Home>Lecture_Series_1>Lecture_1." If you have a moment please explain to me
where the various files should be. Also, if you could provide a picture that
would be extremely helpful.
Thanks for your time

| The structure would be like this
_root
/Lecture_Series_1
/Lecture_1.html
