| How do you limit the number of characters to be accepted by a textarea? I
have set the number of columns to 25, and the lines to 5. I am expecting the
cursor of the users to stop when they reach 125 charachters but instead a
scroll bar on the right of the textarea appears and the users can enter as many
characters as they wants! I don't need this. How do I stop the cursor after 125
characters? Thank you, Dario

| I think you have to have your type set to multi-line in the properties inspector.

| Thanks for your reply, but this is not the solution as the problem it is not
that I have a single-line textarea and I wish to have a multi-line textarea.
I do have a multi-line textarea but I want to limit the number of characters a
user can enter there. If the textarea is set to single-line and I set the max
char in the property inspector as, let say, 10... there is no way you can enter
more than 10 characters in that single-line text area. which is fine. but...
how can I achieve the same control on the number of charcters entered into a
multi-line textarea? Dario
