Transfer files from one site to another

| I have a website MaliasRV.com. Under that site is a folder I had named
MaliasMiles with many subfolders and files underneath. I now have a new site
set up for that domain (MaliasMiles.com). I know there must be an easy way to
move that whole folder from MaliasRV.com to MaliasMiles.com, but I can't figure
out how to do it. I could go into the pages themselves and "Save As" which
will put them on the new site, but then what do I do about the library, assets,
images, etc.?
I betcha there's some way you expert guys could tell me, so I sure would
appreciate hearing it.

I know there a better way than this. Off the top of my head. Just open
your ftp program. Go to the site were the folder is and drag that onto
your desktop. This will copy your folder and content onto your desktop.
Go back to your ftp program, go to your new site. Drag the folder form
your desktop to your new site..........There you have it.

| the tricky thing will be the Library items.
thinking as i type, so don't hold it to be perfect.
I'd define a new site to an empty local folder.
Use mac finder or win explorer to copy this folder's contents to the new
Local Site Folder.
Now in the new site- do a sitewide link check...
-Ignore links to library items for now.
-Broken images that are outside of this folder, you'll have to copy them
from the other site folder to this one and fix the paths.
-Links to outside of this folder, you'll have to fix and change to absolute
full http:// paths, because those are now external links.
-Hopefully, all the links within this folder were document relative...
Whichever, use the Results window to fix them.
*Or look for a pattern and use find and replace.
Now for the library items-
Open page(s) with library items in them.
Select the library item in design view.
In the Property Inspector, click "recreate"
Done. Dw just took that code and put in it a correctly named .lbi file in
the Library folder, with the correct paths.
Rinse/Lather/Repeat for the rest of them.
Now when this site passes a link check, go back to the other original site.
Delete that folder.
Now recreate the site cache and do a sitewide link check.
Fix the broken links so they are absolute full http:// paths to the new
independent site.
