Dreamweaver - CSS - why is it doing this???

CSS - why is it doing this???

In my site, I seem to have pages where the css is pushing apart the main
table and some where it does not. I just can't figure out why it is
doing it in one place and not doing it in another. I am on a mac and
this seems to only be happening in Safari. IE, Firefox, Netscape seem to
work correctly. Nevertheless there is a reason and if I can do it on
some of my pages, it should work on others.
Here is one that works correctly:
