You can do this with javascript on the client-side and/or use a scripting
language like ASP/PHP, etc to do it server-side.

Client side is completely dependant on javascript, so if this is critical,
you will also want to validate server side.

Google 'javascript/php/asp/etc form validation' and you'll find lots of
examples.
