Design View does not display CSS formatting
|
|
| taarin 2005-03-11, 6:33 pm |
| CSS rules in a file called in <Link rel...> header in a Dreamweaver template
fails to display in Design View. The CSS is valid, HTML is valid, the problem
seems to be Design View. Design view displays the page objects but not
formatted with the CSS style. This means Standards-based design/editing is
unworkable. plz elp
I can't see a solution either in the software docs or on this forum. Is there
one do you know?
any help much appreciated

| Show me the template page and its code, please. The best way to do this
would be to upload it somewhere and post a link to it.

| didn't fix it.
renamed the directory, updated the templates, updated the files. hmm...
does this usually work?
is it due to using xhtml?
does Design view allow editing in xhtml/css/standards without using table
layout?

No.

Certainly.
Try detaching and relinking the CSS. Try specifying a Design-Time CSS.

You might want to check this out (until you upgrade to MX04, of course!)
