Author Adding a table late

Hi, I have finished several pages on a site that I built with layers using the
"show/hide" behavior that works with layers. I want to add a table to each page
so that I can center it, and make sure everything stays together. I think
typing the "table" and "center" code into the html page would be best, but I
don't know where to place it. If I try and drag everything into a table now, in
teh design mode, I would totally mess things up. Can anyone help? Thanks

YOu do know that your table will center but your layers will not, right?

It won't work. Dreamweaver "layers" are absolutely positioned divs with
inline styles. What that means is that they float above the rest of the
document., and are positioned exactly where the top and left measurements
say they should be. If you attempt to put a table around them, they will
still be positioned where you said you wanted them to be.

Ok, That is probably why I didn't create a table in the first place for this
site. Can you put a table inside a layer - I think I think I have done that.
It must have been wishful thinking. Thanks for your reminders about the div tag.
