Author MySql DW connection, single vs. double quotes

Hello all,
hey, we've run into something here connecting mysql via DW. We end up having
to code in the connection PHP file, and change the password to be surrounded by
single quotes, to see any data in MySQL.

The frustrating thing is, then you loose your ability to test your connection
in DW, because it wants to overwrite your 'fix' every time. Has anyone else run
into this? Is there a setting/patch/something for Dreamweaver for this?

I'm also wondering how to get a DB connection to show up in Dreamweaver that
it's lost 'contact' with. I still have the .php file of one of my connections
in the 'Connections' directory that works when referred to via code, but it
won't show up in the site "Database" panel. All the other connections in that
directory show just fine. ???

Thanks for any pointers!
