Connecting to the remote site

| :confused;:frown;
I have an existing website that I previously developed...same
address...different software....now I have Dreamweaver....I have my pages ready
to go out on the web, but it won't go. I even had a Dreamweaver instructor
here in my office. She says to call my provider...we tested our site,
password, login, etc. and still I can't get the pages loaded. I have
unselected firewall, so that doesn't seem to be the problem. Does anyone have
any suggestions?

|
| when you try to upload... what Does or Doesn't happen?
does it connect?
any error messages? and they say exactly?

| also, what happens when you test the connection in
the site definition UI?
| |
|
| Try to turn on 'Passive FTP', it might help. Sometimes I found the pathing
is more particular/precise in DW than say in WS_FTP Pro.

| Did you ever figure this out?
I am in the same boat you were and am hoping you might now know what is necessary to connect to the remote site.
Thanks

| Everyone figures it out. But we need details about your specific system to
do so.
Please tell me what happens when you try to connect, and what you have in
each field of the Remote site definition - FTP host address, and Host
directory.
