Greetings,

Does anyone know of a way to export the results panel? (to anything, e.g. excel, notepad)

probably not much use but you could always take a screen shot of it and save
it as an image in an editor of your choice?

Which tab of the results panel?

Look along the left edge of the results panel. Some tabs (Validation,
Target Browser Check, Link Checker, and Site Reports) will let you save the
results.

If they haven't changed things too drastically since MX, the 3rd and 4th
icons (along the left edge of the panel) should look like a floppy disk and
globe, respectively.

The floppy disk lets you save the results as an XML file. If you have a
recent version of Excel, you might want to check if it will read the XML
file directly.

The globe opens the results in a browser window. Since the display is table
based you should be able to cut and paste that directly into Excel and
retain the column/row structure. If there is a whole lot of data, this could
be tedious.

Hope that helps.

Cheers,
Sam

I just want the search results from general "Find and Replace" searches. And
the only button on the left is the stop button.

Does anyone know if you can make a customisable site reports, maybe I need to
create/install an extension - If so I could mimic a general search.

Perhaps if you could tell me exactly what it is you are trying to do.

If you have access to SnagIt or any other screen capture tool that captures
text and autoscrolls you can capture the results panel to the clipboard or a
file as raw text.

If you are trying to do a text search across one or more files and capture
the results, Topstyle, Textpad, or any general text editor worth it's salt
should be able to do it.

Cheers,
Sam

I have the same issue. I would like to use the find and replace function to
search meta data embedded in html files, and export the results to build
reports.
A cusotmized report could alos do the trcik but I have not found any way to do
this.
Any suggestions?
