Which platform is better for Dreamweaver - Mac or PC? We are trying to decide
which way to go and have both available for use but can only put the software
on one. That is assuming that Dreamweaver is better to use than just setting
something up in code.

The one you prefer. Or the one you have a license for. Or, ideally, both.

I have a MX 2004 license on Windows and version 8 license on Mac. Personally I
have always preferred the Mac interface.

Just so the topic doesn't get lost here let me just say this:

WITH THE EXCEPTION OF INTERNET EXPLORER AND WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER. PROGRAMS ON
THE MAC ARE IDENTICAL TO THEIR WINDOWS COUTNERPART.

Yes there may be some minor differences, but for the majority of usage, there
is NO difference. If you like using a Mac, go with a Mac. If you like Windows
go for Windows.

And btw, just so you can compare performance, I have used DW on my old Mac
which was a Powerbook G4 550mhz 512mb sdram, my new Powerbook G4 1.67 1.5gb
DDR2 ram, and a PC AMD Athlon XP 2600 512mb ddr ram.

I would say that almost all of the performance complaints I've seen here
have been from Mac users. That doesn't mean all Mac users have
performance problems with DW. However, it would seem that some do. I'd
suggest running the trial on the Mac to see how it performs before I
made the decision.

well, judging by the number of performance complaints, I'd go Windows.

I have both and use the peecee. Test only on the mac, except for a few
odd programs.

Now that is a great suggestion. In fact, try it on both platforms and go
with the one you like. The license for the program is for either until
the point you install it.

BTW, I did find out (from another issue where I wanted to transfer
ownership of a full version of mx2004 to someone) that you *can* switch
it from windows to mac or vice versa with transfer to another person and
filling out the paperwork associated with that process.
