| Hi,
I'm embedding a windows media file into a webpage. I've set AutoStart
to 'false' because I don't want the movie to start automatically when
the page loads. This is all well and good when I preview it in Internet
Explorer.
However, in Mozilla the file loads up automatically, no matter what I
do. This is kind of strange, as I managed to have a quicktime movie
on a page behave itself and start only when activated through the
controls. Why isn't this happening for Windows Media Player, and what
can I do about it?
I'm inserting it as a plug-in, rather than active X (though I have
tried that, with the same result). Any help would be greatly
appreciated!
Also...what do people in here prefer in terms of placing media on a
site. Do they like it
to be embedded with controls within the page, pop up as an external
movie in their media
player, start automatically in a small pop-up window etc? My main
website
( www.aurainternational.com.au ) simply uses the external link
approach, but I'm thinking of having something different for this new
site.
Thanks,
Micheal
