| Hi All,
Still eating Turkey sandwiches??
I have an option drop down on a few of my pages, which has a list of all the
major webpages on the website. What I want to be able to do is enable a user
to look at this list, select any option from the list, and automatically be
sent to that particular page. So I created the code, and added the link to
each option. When I previewed the page the drop down option menu worked, but
when I select the option the menu collapses, the option selected is highlighted
in the main box but the webpage doesn't change. I have seen other websites
using a 'go' button next to the option box, I assume I need one of these also??
Can anyone point me to a tutorial or give me advice on how I can get this
working??
This website is due to go live tomorrow, but is not looking likely as all
parties are behind schedule due to Christmas I guess...
Thanks
Stuart

| Stuart -
Sounds to me like you're itching for a "Jump Menu." In DW:
Insert > Form > Jump Menu
From there, you can add all your options in and give their value attributes
the .htm page you want them to go to. Oh, and PS: this does not require a "Go"
button.
HTH, take care.

| Hi Again,
I have added the jump menu, and assigned the links. But when I preview the
webpage, the links do nothing when selected. It is the same as before, I can
use the jump menu itself, but all it does is display the selected link in the
box. It doesn't actually jump to the required page.
Here is the code:
<form name="form1" onsubmit="MM_jumpMenuGo('menu1','parent',0)">
<select name="menu1" onmouseover="MM_jumpMenu('parent',this,0)">
<option value="Index.htm">Beijing GRL Project Home Page</option>
<option value="aboutus.htm">About Us</option>
<option value="Map2.htm">Projects</option>
<option>Newsletters</option>
<option value="Articles.htm">Articles</option>
<option value="CEPFfriends.htm">Friends of CEPF</option>
<option>Make a Difference</option>
<option value="http://www.cepf.org.cn/">CEPF Home</option>
<option>-----------------------------------------------</option>
<option value="contact.htm">Contact Us</option>
<option value="sitemap.htm">Site Map</option>
</select>
Could this be because I am using a templated page?? Please help!!
Cheers

| Cheers mate... You've just woken up... that means you must be from somewhere near Penn State?

| You're good -
That's my college, except I'm home now for break. I live near Reading, PA - a place called "South Heidelberg."
