| Hi guys,
Feel silly asking a question like this but I've made a website thats used
tables instead of frames. Because of this my table boxes are quite big and the
text always wants to start at the middle (from top to bottom, not as in
centered) of the table. How do i set the table so that even though the box is
larger then what im putting in it I can start typing from the top left-hand
corner like a normal page?
Thanks,
- Anthony

In Design view, select the table cell. In the Property Inspector, set
Vertical Alignment to "top".

From Osgood's previous post, he gave the exact steps:
"Insert your cursor in the cell. Open the Properties
Inspector>Windows>Properties. Look for the 'Vert' drop menu and select 'top'
By default the cursor position is always in the middle of the cell. I
dunno why seems a bit dumb to me."

| Hi there,
yeah I did but he just said that that was the defult setting, I figured there
must be some way of doing it but he didnt say how. I was hoping someone would
have an actual answer, other there, there isnt one.
If you have any ideas on how i can fix it and make it work that would be sweet

That's weird - I saw the other thread, and he said that middle-aligned was
the default, and then told you exactly how to set the alignment that you
want. I just gave it to you in another post too. Can you see that post?

Maybe better read a bit more carefully, Anthony! :-)

| Anthony -
What are you talking about? Are you sure you even read Osgood's response? He
told you how to get your cells to start at the top left. The center is the
default, so deal with it.

No where in there did he say there is no answer. That's as good of an
explanation as you'll get.
HTH, take care Anthony.

| I wonder if this is another web forum/NNTP issue?
Perhaps the OP is not seeing the full posts?
Benefit of the doubt and all that......

Dude, chill. As John said, give him the benefit of the doubt - he could be
12 years old or have a learning disability or something.

I have a question. The properties inspector is the thing on the bottom,
right? But I don't see a Vert menu. (I have Dreamweaver 6.0 educational
edition)
