| Try using an anchor tag. You should be able to link to the anchor on the page at the section where you want it.

| Thanks for the promt reply, i used the anchor tag on the HTML file. in the pdf
and gave the address as
../ my documents/ frameset.htm#test
and used 'open a web page' option. But it did not helped and gave me error
'couldnt find web page' which seems logical as my file is not on the net.
Is there some way from which a pfd file could be linked to a specific part of
the HTML?
Thanks again

| Also, if i right click on the link and use open web link as new document
option, it transform the HTML file into pdf and opens at the required location.
Can this be achieved without changing the fornat of the file, i.e., as in HTML
page.

I'm going to guess you'd get better answers to this in an ACROBAT forum:
http://www.adobe.com/support/forums/main.html
you can locate a forum and login as a guest or join and ask questions in
the appropriate forum.

| I foresee a problem, though, since it sounds as if the original poster is
using frames (ew).

well, I believe you can target a frame, but I haven't used it in years
(for cd development back then on the Palm Brand Identity Disc that
sellers of Palm pdas got)
You could even open director files and such (or you could then) so I
have to believe that they kept up with the whole web thing...
There are a slew of Acrobat forums at www.adobe.com

| The problem is targeting a frame within its frameset.
