Basic Navi-Bar Question

| Very basic question on DW MX 2004 and site design. I want to utilize the three
col. left nav CSS style sheet but I can't figure out how to get the navigation
menu to stay visible when I link to an outside web site, say www.google.com or
another resource I need to use.
I have read all the support documentation on Frames vs. Tables vs. Layers and
was wondering if anyone can tell me how to go into a predefined CSS style sheet
and isolate the top global link or top and left columns so folks that are using
my site and link to an outside resource can continue to navigate my site
without hitting the back button. Can it be done without frames?
thanks

It can't be done reliably with or without frames. It can't be done at
all without frames.

| Thank you Murray. Since I got your response I have been trying to split a 3
Col CSS Style Sheet into three frames, top, left and center. I can figure out
how to >Modify >Frameset >Split, Left, Right, Up or Down and this obviously
opens a new clear panel but is there a way to highlight the topsection of the
CSS Style Sheet and simply split that off into it's own frame? I have tried
everything including opening the sample nested document and trying to open the
same CSS Style sheet in each of the three frames and then deleting what I don't
want but it doesn't work. There has to be an easier way??
Thanks

| Good grief. Why on earth do you want to take such a retrograde step?
