From your experiance, what platform do you prefer to use Mac or PC?

I prefer using Mac over Windows and I do use both. The reason I prefer the Mac
is that I feel the workspace is laid out much nicer than with Windows where
everything is forced to lie in a window which can be tough if you want to work
in multiple documents at the same time. Honestly I know what this thread is
going to turn into and you should have to when you posted this. All I can tell
you is try working a Mac with design and try working with the Windows programs.
If you prefer the layout of one its hard to like the other for the same task.
In the end it doesn't matter what anyone says in this type of a flame topic
(which I anticipate it being), it comes down to which works best for you and
which you like more.

Either. 8)

Personally I much prefer the PC OS to the Mac OS. But that's my own
preference.

Good answer. That's about the size of it.

One thing I find strange is how I have accustomed myself to a PC even though
some things on a Mac make more sense. For instance on a Mac the up and down
scroll buttons of the windows are at the bottom of the windows right next to
each other which makes logical sense but having grown up on PCs I prefer
them to be far apart. Another nice feature of the Mac is the collapsable
windows but I still prefer a PC...

Like them both, but as far as the OS and performance, Mac..hands down. But I
have 4 PC's.

It's a tool...the output is pretty much the same, assuming they are of
the same era.

It depends upon the software you want to use, imo. As a web
designer/developer, I have both. In some cases, I have the same software
for both.

mac for sure. i use both daily, but MS comes with a lot of baggage. baggage
that is unnecessary in my opinion. mac is great for all home use and small
businesses in my opinion. superior for graphic design and is equally fast, and
sometimes faster to run the apps we use most often as web designers hen the pc
counterpart (like photoshop). there's no rule in the geek universe that says
you can't own both.... why not

Having spent a *whole lot* of time using both for many versions now, I
prefer the Windows version, hands down. Mac version is still rather flaky
in comparison.

Best regards,
Chris
