What's this about -

</head>
<script>
function hide(id) {

a script between </head> and <body>?

What's with the 5.5px margins?

> padding-top: 5.5px;
> padding-left: 5.5px;

And I don't see any menus on the left in your markup below....

These look pretty much the same to me in IE6 and Firefox.

Also, free web hosts tend to put a bunch of crappy HTML and Javascript onto
your pages, so they are not good things for testing your sites with.

you dont see how the links are more upward in ie then in firefox, also the menu
tables have different spaces between them rather then having the same like in
firefox. it may be a little thing, but it really bothers me

i'm waiting on a friend, once he gets on and gives me the ftp info i need i
will reupload it and take a look again. thanks for your input

i didnt even notice that i had started it there, its between the body tags now.

padding-top: 5.5px;
padding-left: 5.5px;

are there so the links line up in the middle and away from the table border.

the menus are a background image

sections {
background-image: url(images/sectionbg.png);
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-attachment: scroll;
width: 199px;
position: relative;
}

the .5 actually does make a difference.

not in them, but between. each section has its own cell.
if you look at this ss you'll understand what im talking about.

You can't get 1/2 pixel on a screen like that.
