Separable Site Window(file manager) Workspace Set up

| In version MX and prior, there was a choice for workspace layout logistics.
With 2004, we are forced to contain everything in one window that keeps focus,
and is inflexible for going back and forth with the site manager (file
manager), and is very awkward for dual monitor, with multiple applications
launched at once (photoshop, etc.).
Has there been any progress for this issue? A year ago, I explored this issue
and no one else seemed to mind this.
I gotta believe this is a common frustration.
At this point, DW MX (not 2004) crashes frequently enough that I need to
explore again.

| DMX2004 just never crashes for me, and while I would like to have some
flexibility in the workspace, it's not a showstopper.
You can express your opinions directly to the DW team, however, using this

| Thanks for your message.
(MX, not MX2004 is the one that crashes for me).
Perrhaps I'm missing the point of how to use 2004.
1. How you handle having two Code or Design windows up at once for editing
side by side (activity: cutting/pasting btwn, comparing btwn, co-developing
multiple pages simultaneously, rubber-band pointing an a href link to an anchor
in another page)
2. How can i undock Properties inspector to move it around to be more
mouse-distance friendly (to be closer to repetitive/iterative operation areas
3. There was a major case, which i cannot think of at the moment (while
experimenting with 2004) about not being able to minimize the site window when
i was able to get it undocked. I apologize that i may have gotten an
intervening version mixed up in my mind.
thanks for any advice you might have.

I just switch between tabs. But if the document windows were not maximized
within DW, you could cascade your document windows this way.

I don't. I'm quite comfortable with it where it is. I don't use it so much
anymore anyhow....
