| You need to create a new DW document type. Take a look at the
Configuration/DocumentTypes/MMDocumentTypes.xml file.
Hint: add your new document type to a new .xml file -- there's no need
to edit the existing file.

| Thanks Randa, I also found the following
http://www.forta.com/blog/index.cfm...&entry=1020 . Problem is that
when I change the the C:\Program
Files\Macromedia\Dreamweaver\Configuration\DocumentTypes\MMDocumentTypes.xml
and nothing happens. Then I went to C:\Documents and
Settings\username\Application Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver
MX\Configuration\MMDocumentTypes.xml it does not exist. What next?

| Luke,
First of all, you should never edit files in the "Application"
Configuration folder (C:\Program
Files\Macromedia\Dreamweaver\Configuration). Always edit the copy in the
"User" Configuration folder (C:\Documents and
Settings\username\Application Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver MX\Configuration).
This is probably just a typo, but you missed a sub folder in the path.
Look in C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application
Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver
MX\Configuration\DocumentTypes\MMDocumentTypes.xml
Still not there? No problem. Copy the file from your "Application"
config folder to your "User" config folder first, then edit.
Oooops. I explained how to add a new item to the "page" list for one of
the default categories. After re-reading your original post, I see that
you want to add a new "category". You do this by adding a new subfolder
to the Configuration/Builtin folder. Take a look in one of those
subfolders to see how they were done. The key is that you need to define
Design Notes (which are defined in the .mno files of the _notes folder)
for each item of your category.
Hope this helps,
Randy
