  and css.
I use css id selectors for my page layout. I usually set the structure of
the page in html and then all the width of each cells etc are done in css. i
was wondering thought , with the none breaking space   , do i need to
apply one to an empty cell that has its width defined using css and nothing
else inside that cell.

regards

An empty cell will not show borders or a background color....

Blarney!

I miss this board. You can always tell what kind of projects I'm
working on at the time. Lately my work is Flash-heavy, so I'm over there.
Ain't no Murrays over there.

Yeah, It's too bad "empty-cells: show;" only works in Opera.

Based on my tests subsequent to David's post, the CSS overrides this in both
IE6 and FF/PC. I didn't test on Macs, however.
