Author Shifting Layers

Hey folks.. I have the problem of a couple of my layers shifting vertically
depending on what browser the page is being viewed in. In one particular
instance.. It looks perfect inside Dreamweaver, looks great inside IE... but
then shifts down about 10 pixels when being viewed inside Mozilla. What would
cause such a thing?! You'd think that if it looked great inside Dreamweaver,
that it would be fine inside Mozilla. It's just a layer that contains some
text. Any ideas? d.

Is the layer in a table?

Without seeing the code for the page, I'd have to say it's sunspots. ;-)
Can you post a link to the page?

Hello Newsgroup user,

I have been reading your posts in this section about layers and them being set
in tables. I believe I know what you mean, but I am not positive. I have been
having the same issues with shifting text in different browsers. Could you
please take a look at the site and tell me if you have any helpful hints.
Thanks! www.fresh-e.com

You don't really have to use a layer (div) on those pages.

You are using a table to hold the larger graphic on the left, why not just
add the text you have placed in a layer into a cell next to the graphic....
that would be the easiest solution for you , until you understand how layers
(absolutely positioned divs),

What's happening is that the div is staying exactly where you have told it
to, so when your page is resized, everything else moves but the div stays in
the same spot.

I am not sure I know what you mean exactly, or not exactly sure how to go about doing it.
