Say you want to make a link to a pdf document on your webserver. The pdf
document is located in the folder, pdf, so you would link it like this,

Make a link, i.e. Employee Handbook PDF
Then select the link and goto the properties flyout,
Then click on the folder beside of the Link property,
Then navigate to the file that you would like to open and click OK,
Now save and upload your file and check the link. Make sure you also upload
the file that you want to open and any directory structure.

Drew

Zip the files first - then link to them.

Or you can put a note up there like, Please right-click the link and then
click Save As...

Also, it asked if I wanted to save the file, but of course I don't have
AutoCAD.

Usually not. I guess there was/is something wrong with the server. In
Opera and FF I got a download dialog, Lynx displayed the file as plain
text and IE did nothing at all. Very strange.

Now with the zipped file it seems to work.
