Being design challenged, I'm looking for comments on this page:
http://apptools.com/experiments/designs/blue/

The links all work, but they go to my existing pages, so there is no
need to comment on those.

Line height 120% is cool.

Aside from Pablo'e observation and suggested improvement, I must say I
really like the nice clean look and the colors you chose.
I would rather see it centered, however.

Hi Garry,

Not looked at the code.

PC Windows 98SE IE 6

First impression - Clean, crisp, and navigable by keyboard. Nice.

However, my eyes kept being drawn to the vertical AppTools.com on the right.
Maybe just me and my square eyes :-)

While the vertical AppTools didn't bother me, the Swiss Army Knife is a
little attention grabbing.

Maybe it could be "smallened" up a bit.

I would rather see it centered, however.

I don't mind that whatsoever, I like centered layouts but I have no gripes
with left aligned, in fact I'll bet you that soon it will be la mode once
again.

http://apptools.com/images/headingbg.jpg

No go, gotta nuke it and http://apptools.com/images/comp.jpg and the red
rollover colour, you have room to play and I suggest a column bg colour on
the left online with the contact us link.

Very nice look. Two points:
- that cockeyed computer ... how to put this? ... makes me a bit queasy
- I agree with somebody else on the red rollover. I assume that they're
CSS? Maybe a lighter but complimentary shade of blue?

Very nice updated look. Is that a stock photo of a compass, or did you
have one around to photograph?

Anyway - one /very/ minor point - in the link to Rants on the new,
improved nav bar, you're missing the trailing slash/.

Well, if I were to dig around, I'm sure I've still got my old drafting

Gary,

Just wanted to let you know that, browsing as I do with enlarged text,
the page works fine. The only thing I don't like is the blinding
headlight thing at the top.

You have contributed so much, just want to express appreciation (from a

I missed earlier versions; the centered look works wel with the stripes
and shades. My advice would be to play around a litle more with the
pictures of the globe and the mouse; these look so '70 s.

If you use more modern (or real classic) stuff the look will reflect
better your tchnical skills, which are very much up to date! (I love

Thanks, Bonnie. The design is still evolving. ;-) The thought behind
that particular concept was, with the image of the earth, that bright
spot would be the sun. As a matter of fact, I had to turn the world
upside down to get the shading to make that consistent. There is another
