Copying text from email DMX 2004 vs DMX

| :confused;
I just installed DMX 2004 and used to use DMX at work. In DMX we used to
paste text from emails and other docs and have it formated the same way with
the DMX adding the proper code.
Under DMX 2004 there is lots of junk code doing the same proceedure. Now I
have to waste time cleaning it up, is there any way to aviod this?

| I don't know if that's what you meant, but DW MX 2004 keeps the formating (e.g.
the html in emails) wich DW MX didn't do.
A way I found to avoid it is to copy the text and paste it in the NotePad.
After that, I copy it from NotePad to Dreamweaver and that's it!

| Yeah I know, but then the formating in the original document is blown and you
have to reformat it.
In the previous version it would perserve the formating by using simple html
tags. In the new it lumps it all together
or you get all kinds of junk code in the html. Either way I have to waste
time reformating
Perhaps I'm missing something.
Thanks for your reply.

| What burns me is that this feature of copying text into HTML is not
customizable at all (as far as I can tell). I've got to go throught the extra
step of pasting it into Notepad and then into DMX 2004. What a hassle.
Please let there be a selection box to let DMX 2004 handle text the way DMX
did.
Don't get me wrong I love 2004 in every other way.

In DMX2004, try using EDIT | Paste Special....
