Author Text Being Formatted with CSS

Howdy, I am adding text to the page design I created and designed with the use
of CSS. Everytime I create text it creates a new CSS category. How can I edit
text without it creating a new CSS category? Also, when this happens the text
sizes are all messed. It lists 9,10,11,12... like the font sizes in word. How
can I switch to the web sizes like 1,2,3,4, etc.? Thanks

!! not too sur ehow its creating new css categories, the only way I know of
creating new categories is right click goto css choose new !!!

As for editing the cdd styles goto design panel right click the style u want
to edit and select edit or if you are making the css styles in a external style
sheet and linking it to the page just locate the css sheet and edit with
dreamweaver.

Yes, I am not sure why it would create a news style for the text. It does it
so automatically. I type text and it is all default. Then when I change
color, font, size, etc.... it creates a news style like 'style1, or 'style2'
and so on. It is crazy. And the CSS styles only offer the strange font size
selections. Like the 9,10,11, like font sizes in a MS Word or sizes like
x-small, x-large, small, etc. Arg! If anyone can help, I would appreciate it.

This happens when you use the Property inspector to apply styles to text,
like color, size, etc. Eliminate that from your workflow....

Howdy, The problem: when I format text using the property inspector, a new css
style is created for the text. To stop this from happening: Go to
Edit>Preferences>then uncheck the 'use CSS instead of HTML tags'

Or instead of doing that, which sorta limits your CSS options, never apply
text styles with the Property inspector. Always create the styles and then
apply (or allow them to cascade).
