Which DW? In DW4/UD4, DMX and DMX2004, there is a feature called Snippets
that does exactly that.

I think he is talking more like a macro style for dreamweaver. That automatically generate code for you.

I wonder if you might like to take a look at our products which specialize on having buttons that generate smart code within dreamweaver for PHP or ColdFusion. You can have from automatic buttons to generate dynamic forms, login pages, information nuggets
and even automatize a whole e-commerce site by just click your way through the process. It does autogenerate the code and the code is smart enough that you can make changes and adjust them to your needs.
