a general suggestion is to always make copies of any files in the
configuration folder before doing edits.

or make a copy of the entire folder for You as a User, when dw is stable and
your extensions/customizing is the way you want it.

Dw only uses the folder named exactly Configuration, so you could dupe it,
and tack the date onto the filename.

putting CodeColoring.xml into google or groups.google.com turns a few
threads, don't know if it's what you're looking for.
